OCT & Retinal Imaging
See the Full Picture of Your Eye Health
OCT and retinal imaging detect hidden eye conditions—before symptoms even begin.
What Is OCT And Retinal Imaging?

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) creates detailed three-dimensional scans of your retina – the thin layer of tissue at the back of your eye, that detects light and sends visual signals to your brain. This hospital-grade technology captures microscopic changes that can point to developing eye diseases.
Retinal photography produces high-resolution images of the inside of your eye, allowing us to check on the health of blood vessels, optic nerve, and surrounding structures. Together, these technologies give us a holistic insight into your eye health.
Our Revo FC OCT scanner boasts exceptional image quality, helping us make a precise diagnosis and monitor subtle differences over time.
Why It Matters

Many sight-threatening conditions are symptomless until significant damage has happened, including glaucoma (which impacts the optic nerve), macular degeneration (which affects central vision), retinal holes (small breaks in the retina) and diabetic retinopathy (which causes abnormal blood vessels).
Catching them early results in a better response to treatment and potentially prevents vision loss.
OCT scanning also measures axial length, which is invaluable for controlling myopia – or shortsightedness – in children. It helps us monitor and manage progressive short-sightedness effectively.
What To Expect

Your OCT scan takes approximately five minutes and there is no contact with your eyes. It’s a quick and painless procedure, ensuring you remain comfortable throughout.
Our skilled optometrists can review your results immediately and will carefully explain any findings and necessary follow-up care on the spot.
Who Should Get An OCT Scan?

As part of good eye care practice, regular OCT scans are highly recommended for early detection of eye conditions—even before symptoms appear. Patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of eye disease benefit significantly from regular imaging too.
High prescriptions increase eye disease risk, making OCT especially valuable for monitoring retinal health. If you are experiencing unexplained vision changes, you should consider comprehensive imaging.
For first-time patients, baseline scans allow us to compare changes over time and help with diagnosing and monitoring problems further down the line.
Advanced Technology, Trusted Experts

We have invested in high-quality imaging equipment and our clinicians receive regular training to interpret results accurately.
OCT scanning forms part of our enhanced eye examination package. We believe advanced diagnostics should be accessible to all patients who can benefit from informed treatment decisions and peace of mind.
