Our Story
Founded in 2012, we grew from a simple vision – exceptional and personalised eye care. Our dedicated team members take time to listen carefully and tailor their approach accordingly.
Our patient-centred philosophy means we often care for multiple generations of the same family while much of our community comes to us through word-of-mouth.
Our Team
Sandeep Bassi
Sandeep is our principal optometrist and director. Graduating from Aston University in 1996, Sandeep has advanced qualifications in medical retina and derives tremendous satisfaction from providing expert, compassionate eye care.
When it comes to eye care tech, Sandeep keeps his finger on the pulse to ensure we offer the latest diagnostic equipment and treatments.
He enjoys running and follows both football and cricket enthusiastically.
Seema Varsani
Seema has been with iCare since our launch. A graduate of City University, she combines extensive knowledge and a commitment to maintaining the highest clinical standards.
Seema particularly values meaningful relationships with patients over many years. In her spare time, she enjoys discovering new recipes and keeping fit.
Ritu Bassi
Ritu is our contact lens specialist and practice manager. She’s a specialist in Ortho-K, complex lens fittings, myopia control, and keratoconus management.
Ritu loves working with children and runs our successful dry eye clinic, where her approach addresses both symptoms and underlying causes of dry eye disease. She enjoys tennis, pilates, and socialising with friends.
Parvinder Chana
Parvinder brings a wealth of experience as our dispensing optician. Her expertise means perfect matches between frames and lenses.
Parvinder’s adventurous spirit recently led her to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. We see this level of determination and commitment every day when she’s helping patients achieve their vision goals.
Daksha
Daksha is our trusted receptionist, managing administrative aspects of our practice while providing first-class customer service. Her previous senior retail experience means she provides a warm and friendly welcome to anyone visiting our practice.
As well as a much-loved member of our team, Daksha’s also a devoted grandmother and keen gardener
